Estonia’s largest open-air spectacle of fire, water and music, Tõrva Loits, will rise from the ashes.

On July 20, Estonia’s largest open-air spectacle of fire, water and music, Tõrva Loits, will rise from the ashes.

Tõrva Loits is included in the main programme of the European Capital of Culture Tartu 2024 and will be returning stronger than ever after a six-year break. The audience will be able to enjoy a 7-hour long programme spread over almost 10 hectares of festival area and 3 different venues. The programme will include the best Estonian artists, the world’s biggest drums, water, fire and light effects, the biggest bonfire of the year, an extraordinary laser show, unique light installations and Jaan Roose doing tricks on the slackline.

This year’s show is subtitled “Ouroboros”, which symbolizes the infinity of being and whose best-known expression is a mythical serpent devouring its own tail.

Musical acts will be performed by Puuluup, Duo Ruut, Säm, Grete Paia, Meisterjaan, Silver Ulvik and Estonian rock legend Tanel Padar with Lenna. In addition to well-known Estonian names, foreign performers from Ukraine can be seen and heard during the evening. The party lasts until the morning at MÖK, or the Municipal Night Club.

Tõrva Loits will take place on the central square of Tõrva.

Tõrva Loits is part of the multi-day festival Tõrva Fire Days.
